1. DRINKWATER IV BOAT TOUR
Sproat Lake is a boater's paradise. With its hundreds of kilometers of shoreline, natural beauty, mountain views, Sproat Lake. Enjoy an exclusive tour aboard the famous Drinkwater IV tugboat to see ancient aboriginal rock-carved petroglyphs, beautiful cottages on the lake, miles of untouched shoreline and forests, and maybe a takeoff or landing of the world’s largest flying boat, the Mars Bomber. Visit Vanderbilt island and see the area where celebrities vacationed in the 1920's and 1950's.
Drinkwater IV Tours are by appointment only with priority for Resort guests. Tours must be booked 24 hours in advance. All Stay Package guests enjoy a complementary tour.
2. STAND-UP PADDLE (SUP) BOARDING
Resorts guests enjoy use of our Stand Up Paddleboard . Sproat Lake is well known for its perfect conditions for boarding with its warm, crystal clear fresh water and tranquility.
3. CANOE and KAYAKING
All resort guests have unlimited access to our canoes and kayaks to explore Sproat Lake. With the hot sunny summer days, warm fresh crystal clear water, amazing views of Mount Arrowsmith and acres of pristine wilderness, Sproat Lake Landing is an ideal family vacation spot for kayaking and canoeing.
Sproat Lake has to be one of the world's largest heated swimming pools! It was originally known as Kleecoot (meaning "wide open") by local indigenous people until it was renamed in Gilbert Sproat's honour in 1864.
